REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the planning and coordination of production, procurement, and distribution activities for Meds and Food for Kids. The primary goal is to ensure smooth operations, on-time delivery, and cost-effective supply chain management to meet the demand for Plumpy Nut, PlumpyDoz, and Vita Mamba products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):

• Develop and implement an effective Sales and Operations Planning process to align sales forecasts, production, and inventory levels with customer demand.
• Collaborate with the sales team to gather accurate demand forecasts for each product and market segment.
• Liaise with the production and procurement teams to create integrated production and procurement plans that meet demand while optimizing costs and inventory levels.‍

Supply Chain Coordination:

• Coordinate the end-to-end supply chain activities, including sourcing raw materials, production scheduling, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials from suppliers in the EU, North America, Central America, and South America.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize inventory levels and ensure efficient product distribution to customers in Haiti and export destinations.

Export Operations:

• Oversee the export process for Plumpy Nut to 17 other countries on behalf of UNICEF, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and timely delivery.

Forecasting and Inventory Management:

• Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts for each product and market.
• Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring product availability to meet customer demand.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Establish strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensure timely deliveries, and promptly resolve supply-related issues.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain efficiency, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.
• Create business reports that provide insight into key data points.
• Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers.
• Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy.
• Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

‍

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

‍Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in supply chain planning, procurement, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment. 

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools. 
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Special Qualifications: Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain planning software is advantageous.
